GenomeArc Launches Horizon Variant Search Server, Global Access to Clinically-Guided Genomic Variant Interpretation

Mississauga, GenomeArc today announced the release of the HorizonTM Variant Search Server variant.genomearc.com, a new component of the HorizonTM multimodal platform that enables clinicians, researchers, and laboratories worldwide to instantly search and interpret genomic variants across rare diseases and cancer.

The HorizonTM Variant Search Server provides rapid clinical interpretation of single genetic variants using internationally recognized standards. The platform implements the American College of Medical Genetics and Genomics (ACMG) guidelines for rare disease variant classification and the American Molecular Pathology (AMP) guidelines for somatic cancer variant interpretation, delivering structured, transparent, and evidence-backed results suitable for clinical and research workflows.

Unlike traditional variant databases, HorizonTM integrates multi-omics knowledge, proprietary databases from GenomeArc’s clinical genomics sequencing projects, curated literature, functional evidence, and population genomics data, including underrepresented populations, to improve confidence in pathogenicity assessment and reduce variants of uncertain significance (VUS). For tumor somatic variants, Horizon provides pharmacogenomic insights aligned with the standard of care in cancer genetics.

“Genomic data is expanding rapidly, but interpretation remains the bottleneck,” said Mohammed Dafil, Founder and CEO of GenomeArc Inc. “The HorizonTM Variant Search Server was built to give any clinician or scientist, anywhere in the world, immediate access to clinically guided variant interpretation without requiring complex bioinformatics infrastructure.”

The server is designed for clinical genetics laboratories, oncology centers, academic researchers, and biotechnology companies seeking fast and reliable genomic insights to support diagnosis, research, and precision medicine development.

The HorizonTM Variant Search Server is now available to users globally and for research use only.
